LAND SURVEYOR
Full Job Description
Michael L. Priest & Associates, Inc. has an opportunity for a Professional Surveyor to join our team. This position will be in our Canton, Michigan office, working five days a week onsite.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently at the direction of a professional land surveyor and contribute to various surveying projects with a wide variety of client types including architects, developers, property owners, and real estate professionals.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction layout, and other various field survey duties.
Ability to professionally represent the company with clients and contractors in the field.
Review plans in field with contractors.
Review survey descriptions.
Minimum Requirements
At least 1-3 years of surveying experience.
Experience with project management and time-keeping applications.
Project management skills.
Ability to work independently.
Experience with CAD software, GPS and total station equipment.
Valid driver’s license.

CIVIL CAD TECHNICIAN

Michael L. Priest & Associates, Inc. has an opportunity for a Civil CAD Technician to join our team. This position will be in our Canton, Michigan office, working five days a week onsite.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently at the direction of a professional civil engineer along with a survey team to contribute to various civil engineering projects with a wide variety of client types including architects, developers, property owners, and real estate professionals.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
Provide CAD support by creating and editing drawings for civil engineering projects.
Work closely with survey team in gathering and processing field data.
Prepare various civil engineering exhibits and presentation materials.
Assist in research for permitting and design standards.
Ability to professionally represent the company with clients and contractors.
Minimum Requirements
At least 1-3 years of CAD experience.
Basic understanding of civil engineering concepts.
Experience with project management and time-keeping applications.
Project management skills.
Ability to work independently.
Valid driver’s license.
